The uniquely talented jewelry designer Nava Zahavi has a distinctive reflection of the cultural and environmental influences

she experienced in her youth, as well as in her extensive world travels. The distinguished Byzantine characteristics in her work can be traced to ancient Egypt and Greece, while her use of colourful stones reflects the brilliance of nature surrounding her: Aquamarine represents the sea and the sky, Citrine and Rutilated stones evoke the sandy beaches, and Carnelian depicts the warm sun.

On Saturday Nov. 19th we are super excited to have Lilly Oswald come to our store in Ardmore, PA from 10am to 3pm.  Lilly is a designer for Sorrelli and has exclusively designd her own line, MiMi Collection.  The MiMi collection is a west coast inspired collection with a laid back and youthful design.  There will be a preview of the Sorrelli trunk show on Friday Nov. 18th. 

Sorrelli jewelry consists of an abundance of amazing crystallized SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS® faceted crystals in the majority of its designs. Semi-precious cabochons like desert jasper, reconstructed turquoise, freshwater pearls, and tiger’s eye are also used in our bold, beautiful pieces.

Each color collection features a unique mixture of semi-precious and synthetic cabochons and crystals. The base metal of most Sorrelli designs is brass. Our styles are plated in a variety of finishes, including Antique Gold, Antique Silver, Bright Gold, Bright Silver, Gunmetal, or Stainless Steel.

We are very excited to have this special Crislu trunk show in our Saucon Valley location.  Crislu jewelry is made with cubic zirconia stones and sterling silver that is coated in platinum so it stays brilliant no matter how much you wear it! Crislu is designed and made in California. Crislu makes a fabulous gift for any occasion and many people utilize it as a replacement for their fine jewelry while traveling. 

There will be a preview of the show on Thursday Nov. 10^th from 6pm – 8pm in conjunction with The Promenade Shoppes "Hello Holidays" Event.  The trunk show will then run all day Friday Nov. 11^th and Saturday Nov. 12^th.  Crislu will be providing a wonderful gift with any Crislu purchase!!  Thank you Crislu!

DANDELION JEWELRY AND DESIGNER TODD REED HELP FUND ART STUDENT GRANT

The funds will be raised through a trunk show co-hosted by Todd Reed and Dandelion, to be held on October 14^th -15^th at the Dandelion location in Ardmore, PA.

Philadelphia, PA - School budgets for the arts are practically non-existent, so when business steps up to fund student art initiatives, it’s great for the entire community. Dandelion, located in Ardmore, King of Prussia, Saucon Valley, Wyomissing and Princeton, NJ, encourages high school juniors and seniors to express their interest and creativity in the arts through $500 art grants to be used toward creating a wearable art project.

Some of the money to fund those grants will come from a. Kim Carpenter, Senior Account Manager for Todd Reed, will be bringing dozens of new Todd Reed designs – designs not typically available in the store – for Dandelion customers to try on, talk about, and fall in love with.

Students interested in applying for a Dandelion Art Grant must meet the following criteria:

• ·         Must be a Junior or Senior at a Friends Upper School
• ·         Have demonstrated commitment to the arts and strength of intention in their grant proposal.
• ·         Present a clearly defined project idea that will enhance their learning in the areas of art and design.
• ·         Provide a clear, detailed budget for the project.
• ·         Be able to complete the project in one semester.

A Siberian born designer, Mashka began her career in fashion as a buyer and merchandiser in one of New York City's most upscale boutiques.  Knowledge from several years in the fashion industry, an MBA in marketing, and a desire to create new and exciting jewelry, Mashka jewelry was created in 2000.

Abra Couture Trunk Show

Abra's look is all about urban sophistication. Colorful and vibrant, the pieces reflect the electricity of Abra's founding home of New York City.  Working out of an apartment in Greenwich Village, Abra eventually built a wonderful studio in the infamous Meatpacking District.  After developers had their own designs on her building, Abra relocated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The costume arena consists of a playful mix of cast resin, acrylics, and cotton materials, along with vintage plastics.  All jewelry is created piece by piece and nothing is ever mass produced.  There are always slight variations due to the handmade nature.  Each piece maintains a certain sculptural quality which is easily recognized by the public.

We’ve been working hard in the De Mi A Ti studio for the past two weeks creating one of kind pieces for this special occasion.

These are our new sterling silver hoop earrinngs with a wire wrapped spray of lovely Keshi pearls. Of course this picture was taken mid process.

 Some of our new ring creations from the left: Keshi pearl flower ring with gold fill wire and peridot roundels wrapped at its base, a multicolor sapphire flower ring with a cluster of amethyst roundels in the middle, green amethyst wire wrap ring with vibrant London blue topaz, and gold fill spiral adjustable ring with peridot and London blue topaz.

 We’ve made some rings, which we rarely ever make. They will be made to order. Some of the rings are adjustable.

The collection we will be presenting is primarily Green amethyst, peridot, London blue topaz, purple amethyst and an array of colored pearls. The hottest new trend in stones is the luscious London blue topaz; which we were drooling over the whole time we were working with it. Since our trip to the Arizona Gem Show this past February, we have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to unveil some of our new stones, and this seems like the perfect opportunity! We hope you all will come and talk to us about your favorite new styles of the season. We can’t wait to hear customer feed back and see the hard working and wonderful Ardmore girls.
