Metal Monk jewelry became a leading collection from the work of the very talented Donya O'Brien Kaufer. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Donya O'Brien Kaufer began working at Robert Rose Inc. as the youngest jewelry designer ever to design Robert Rose signature collection, and developed the "Y" necklace trend for major private label accounts like The Limited.

A few years later Metal Monk jewelry was born in personalized cufflinks, created as gifts for her very own bridal party. The response was amazing! "Metal Monk" is named for its distinguished unique flair. Within a year, the collection was available at specialty shops, galleries and boutiques around the New York tri-state area, and New England.
